Submissions will open on February 1, 2023 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Email submissions to PoetryCorners2022@gmail.com Subject line “Last Name - Poetry Corners Submission.” Reading: February 1 - February 28 Publishing Date: April 30 Poets are free to submit work on any subject and need not adhere to a theme. ! Each poet may submit up to three poems for consideration. Students K-12, please indicate your grade level when you submit. Please indicate if a submitted poem has been previously published. We will note publication history if your poem is jury-selected, printed and displayed. Poems must be no more than 25 lines, including title and line spaces, to fit the physical constraints of the display posters. Poets' names need not be included in the line count. Poems must be submitted via email as an attached Word or .pdf document. While Poetry Corners welcomes all types of poems, including those dealing with sophisticated or challenging subject matter, please keep in mind that selected poems will be publicly displayed and read by people of all ages. Please check your poems for accuracy. Typos and other errors may be misunderstood to be creatively intentional. Open reading 2023 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Email submissions to bainbridgepoetry@gmail.com Subject line “Last Name - Poetry Manuscript Submission.” Reading: Open Publishing Date: September 30 Inspired by the magic of poetry, we are dedicated to publishing poetry books that speak for for people, place, and time. Bainbridge Island Press is committed to publishing poets and creators of diverse backgrounds and points of view. We enjoy collaborating with poets to further our work as a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and collaborative publishing house. To encourage submissions from a wide range of potential authors, Bainbridge Island Press has an open submissions policy. We accept only unagented submissions. Before sending poetry manuscripts to us, please read previously published works to see if your poetry is a good fit. Manuscripts need to be between 50 - 70 numbered pages. A table of contents is mandatory, plus a title. It must be submitted as a .docx file. Books can be found in the following local bookstores and online. |
